Life is a cabaret, old friend

I had such a great time on this shoot. Tiffanie is a dancer and is such a fun person. She’s brave and ballsy, in the most lady like way. We were in rural north Alabama just working our way up this one stretch of road stopping and taking pictures at things that struck a chord. We spent a few hours doing this shoot. And I think we got some great things. Hope you enjoy!

Illustrious Lisbeth

I had the opportunity to work with Lisbeth by chance. We met randomly at a Kinetics Entertainment/Productions performance and I was excited to get a session with her. She’s the mother of two beautiful boys, and she’s a knock out. Quiet and reserved, you can definitely see the intensity she brings to the table. I hope to have more shoots with her, and her little ones!

What started as a night out to support an artist turned into a creative venture of a different sort when we decided to hold an impromptu photo shoot after leaving the venue. Needless to say, when others push you to go beyond your comfort zone, great things can happen. Enjoy.

Can you spot the cool thing in this photo? Tell me 🙂

A little posterization on the next photo; just playing around.

My Strongest Suit

The folks over at Zoe’s Consignment in Forest Park were wonderful about letting us browse the clothing ranks to find some great outfits for the shoot. If you’ve never been down there, it’s on Clairmont Avenue near V. Richards. It’s a hidden treasure in my opinion – and I think you’ll agree when you see what gems we found.

As they say, every stitch is stitched in time… and consignment shopping really makes you believe it. The clothes tell a story, as much as the person wearing them. Enjoy!

Hello summer.

One of my favorite things about summer are the farmer’s markets. There something beautiful about fresh produce, right off the farm, that you can’t replicate in any store. And with the increasing plight of America’s farmers – both large and small – why not buy local and buy fresh?

I’ll be in Birmingham this coming weekend, June 10. If you know of any good markets on Saturday or Sunday, let me know! It’s always fun to get out and take pictures; plus, you meet some of the best characters.
